St. Leonards-on-Sea

Historical records show that Hastings House in Warrior Square has been on the map as a guest house since 1855. It has seen the glory days of St. Leonards as one of the most fashionable seaside resorts of its time and witnessed the steady decline of the seaside resorts that spread throughout the past half century. Nowadays, the winds have once again shifted and St. Leonards-on-Sea is dusting itself off to become ‘the’ place to be along the South Coast of England.

A warm welcome

“We were quick to recognise this change and the potential of this noble old building” says Seng Loy, “we had scoured the South Coast of England looking for just the right place for our own hotel venture and Hastings House won hands down. We have spent over two years completely renovating the interior and designing each room to have the perfect appeal. Elisabeth and I don’t really like to pigeon-hole ourselves through saying that we are a ‘boutique hotel' or 'bed & breakfast', as we think we have something quite unique … a beautiful and thoughtfully designed seaside hotel that offers the comfort and luxury of London with the warmth and friendliness of this very special seaside town”.
